Pomona City Council Seeks Pomona Residents Interested in Serving on the:
Independent Redistricting Commission
POMONA, CA (March 22, 2021) – If you have a strong interest in the community and
you have the ability to give generously of your time, why not apply to serve on the
Independent Redistricting Commission. Commissioners have an opportunity to make
a difference in the community by providing recommendations to the City Council.
Commissioners serve on a volunteer basis and are appointed by the City Council.
Anyone who is a resident of Pomona and is interested in serving on the Independent
Redistricting Commission may obtain an application from the City Clerk’s Office or
the City’s Website. All applicants must read the qualifications, requirements and
post-service restrictions before completing and submitting an application for this
Commission. The qualifications, requirements and post-service restrictions are
located on the application.
The City of Pomona is seeking individuals with a strong interest in the community to
be considered for the following vacancies:
Seven (7) openings on the Independent Redistricting Commission. The
Independent Redistricting Commission shall be responsible for reviewing and
potentially realigning City Council electoral district boundaries based upon the
2020 Decennial Census.
